Mandatory Health Guidelines

1. High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE) Warning

Trekking past 3,000m exposes pilgrims to thin air. Sudden ascends lead to chest congestion. Carrying portable oxygen flasks is highly recommended.

2. Mandatory Health Registration Posts

Permit card validation stations exist at Nauti, Mundoli, and Wan. Health checkpoints check blood oxygen saturation before allowing you to proceed barefoot.

3. Barefoot Safety (Wan to Homkund)

Walking barefoot represents deep devotion but is hazardous. Keep foot disinfectant, warm socks for rest camps, and protective herbal salves.
